[Malaysia] Cosmobeaute Sarawak Road Show Draw Good Crowd and Wide Media Coverage

Well-prepared to visit Cosmobeaute Asia in July!

The first stop of Cosmobeauté Asia 2015 road show in Sarawak received good response from the beauty and spa industry from Kuching especially.

Almost 100 members of beauty and spa industry attended the road show and enjoyed the privilege of experiencing our exhibitors’ showcase of products even before the actual exhibition in July. Among the exhibitors who joined us at the road show are Aura Marketing Sdn Bhd, EIG Dermal Wellness (M) Sdn Bhd, Luscious Solutions Sdn Bhd, The Byuti Sdn Bhd and Spiral Destiny Sdn Bhd.

Asides from enjoying the first-hand experience on the new products, attendees of the road show also had the chance to listen to the inspiring talks by speakers such as Dr. Ng Wee Kiong, the founder of AIS International and Ms Jesie Hong, the Regional Education Manager of Esthetics International Group (EIG) who share about the key to successful salon management and how to sustain the beauty business for a longer period while overcoming all possible challenges in the industry.

On the other hand, Dr. Baskaran Kosthi, the president of Malaysian Association of Wellness and Spa (MAWSPA) shared about the spa and wellness industry insight in Malaysia as well as the direction of MAWSPA for the year. While Ms. Ayu Mudiasih, the vice-president of Malaysian Association of Wellness and Spa (MAWSPA) added more elaboration on how a salon owner may upgrade and work on a new direction from their existing salon to a spa that provides a complete wellness experience for their customers.

MAWSPA had the first opportunity to also appoint Maison Monica Academy in Kuching, one of the members of MAWSPA to be the official chapter member for Sarawak, this will advocate growth for the Spa and Wellness industry in Sarawak in the future by updating on government regulations and sharing of knowledge.

Ms. Gene Thian, the president of Kuching Association of Beauty Therapy and Cosmetology (KABTAC) expressed her wish to have more trainings and talks by the Spa industry experts organised in Kuching to inspire and advocate the growth of Spa and Wellness industry in near future.

The road show concluded with many press interviews with the VIPs and speakers on various current topics especially in the spa and wellness industry.

Cosmobeauté Asia and MAWSPA will be in Kota Kinabalu for the second stop of East Malaysia road show in The Klagan Regency, the former 1Borneo Hotel on 7th May, 10am – 1pm.
